  Rezumat:  The Greek – Catholic Confessional First Cycle Studying. Remuneration, Tribulation, Edification (1892 -1924) The Romanian Greek-Catholic communities of the Diocese of Oradea were confronted, during ages, to the problem of assuring the salary to the teachers (chanter-docents) of their confessional schools, paid from their own account or with the aid of the Bishop, and lately the state helped too. In the beginning, the teachers’ payment was very little. The laws elaborated since then tried to increase it to an honorable quantum, very difficult to collect it from the parishes of the Diocese, despite the good intention of the Bishop and of the entire clergy.
