Rezumat:  The Natural – the Creature and the Supernatural – the Above-creature. Noticeably starting with the scholastic theologians, the distinction between the two dimensions of reality, natural and supernatural, was an issue which concerned the theological thinking. These theologians elaborated a concept of “pure nature” which the mankind supposedly had before committing the first sin. Thus, the two realities were counter positioned by no emphasizing the essential linkage between the two of them. This paper intends to bring a new light on the separation between natural and supernatural, by addressing the characteristic theological vision of the Holy Fathers. In fact, their perception did not perceive such a scission of the reality. On the contrary, it maintained the true value of the creation, which starting with the first moment of its natural existence became simultaneously both natural and supernatural. The “natural light of reason” is prepared to receive the so called “supernatural” revelation. The entire revelation in Christ is at the same time natural and supernatural, divine and humane. Certainly, one may distinguish between the various degrees of intensity that God reveals Himself; nonetheless they remain on an equal and ordinary plan. One may naturally know the revealed things. This is accomplished not as a consequence of a mechanical and physical necessity, but by the means of reason. The latter is prepared to acknowledge the whole truth without any supernatural interference.
