  Rezumat:  Cognition, Communication and Common Action in the Contemporary Romanian Village. The paper represents a series of investigation made by the authors in the period between 1986 – 87 and 1999 - 2000 at the level of rural communities, especially from the Transylvanian regional space. In these studies the notion of communitary matrix and some of its dimensions (cognition, communication and common action) is taken in discussion, a modality of use of the investigation, of the community matrix in the identification of the local leaders being proposed.
