The possibility to use the polyethylene oxide as polymeric matrix for the clotrimazole was analysed. The effects of hydration-drying and ageing processes on the properties of the polymeric matrix were observed by Raman spectroscopy. Similar observations were effectued on the clotrimazole. No modifications of the properties of the polymer and clotrimazole were observed after long time of conservation.
