Rezumat: 3- and 4-[N-4-(2,2,6,6-tertamethylpiperidinyloxy)]-carboxamide-1-R-(where R=methyl or R=dodecyl)-pyridinium-iodide free radicals were synthesized and investigated as new useful spin labels. X-band EPR spectra of all four compounds were studied in the presence of multilamelar liposomes. The spectra were analyzed by using a computer simulation for obtaining the characteristic magnetic parameters. We investigated the influence on the EPR characteristics of: a) the alkyl chain R and b) the substituent position on the pyridine ring of the nitroxide moieties. Both, the length of the alkyl chain and the substituent positions induce changes in the EPR parameters. The interactions between the compounds and multilamelar liposomes were derived from the magnetic EPR parameters. | |||||||
