  Rezumat:  The purpose of this paper is to show the differences on regions in level and dynamics of labour force productivity using GDP/employment indicator. The analysis of the specific situation of the regions helps in elaboration of regional development strategies. In the first part of our study (1) have been included the comparative analysis of regions, against the country level and the study of labour productivity dynamics for the period 1993-1999. This second part also includes two phases: I. the study of dynamics of the main factors of productivity: GDP and employment and their influence in the dynamics of labour productivity between 1993 and 1999; II. evidence of differences in the structure of the economy by main activities on regions. Numerical results of the study could be useful for all interested in regional analysis.
