  Rezumat:  Financial Assets Traded in The Stock Exchange. In this paper, the author analzses the stock market as one of the main components of the stock exchange transactions. The study examines the taxonomy of shares as financial assets, the rights and obligations of shareholders, together with the main methods - proposed by theory and sanctioned by practice - used in order to assess shares. The anlysis of the stock market constantly regards the opportunity-risk dualism, given the fact that, in order to gain the expected benefits (in the form of dividends and others), shareholders do get involved in the risk, but only to the extent of their initial capital investment.
