  Rezumat:  Milan Hodža and the Romanians. The present hermeneutical attempt deals with the important moments of the life and activity of the Slovak political man (1878-1944), between the end of the XIXth century and the middle of the XXth. The monographic outline achieved on the basis of a rich book and archive aids deals with some aspects concerning the training of the pupil and student M. Hodža in the Transylvanian cultural environment (Sibiu, Cluj). It also underlines his cooperation with his Romanian alliance and political dialogue partners, especially within the Club of the non-Hungarian deputies from Budapest (1905-1910); his activity developped during the First World War and his contribution to the ideatic and factual preparation of the division of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. In the end, the autor sketches some relevant aspects from the life of the militant patriot concerned with the building up of a democratic unitary state and the making of a stable coalition of solidary nations in the Central Europe.
