  Rezumat:  The Historical Writing Concerning the Romanian Libraries of Transylvania (1850-1918). The researches on the setting up and development of the Romanian libraries in Transylvania in the second half of the XIXth and the first two decades of the XXth centuries witnessed several stages. They were initiated in the aforementioned period, but only between the world wars, upon the publication of the studies elaborated by Ioan Muşlea and Ioachim Crăciun, the matters related to this topic made their way in the Romanian historiography. In the last fifty years, the publication of a great many studies concerning this very topic requires a new synthesis.
