  Rezumat:  Nicolae Darascu’s landscapes in the collection of the Arad Museum Complex. The art of Nicolae Darascu spans for over half a century, defining itself as original and robust. Two main artistic experiences marked Darascu’s style, impressionism and post-impressionism, with their search for light and colour. His artistic creation is often interpreted as impressionist however, after long experimentations he develops a style which is personal and unique. His landscape paintings are among the most daring and original works of art that the artist created. The four artworks that are disused in this article offer a general view on the artist’s creation. In them the three most important stages from the artist’s creation are reflected. The first stage is defined by his artistic results from his long trips from abroad, the second is his discovery of the small seaside village of Balcic, and the last stage is marked by the small hills that surround the town of Curtea de Arges. Overall Darascu’s landscapes are remarkable not just because of their chromatic harmony, but also for their inspired architectonic vision.
