  Rezumat:  An approach to the Dacian-Romanian limit. The aim of this study is to emphasize the idea’s evolution related to the Dacian-Romanian limit in Oltenia, and to emphasize some conclusions on this problem. The magnetostratigraphic studies shown the presence of the Gauss-Gilbert limit between the XIth and XIIth coal seams. This limit can be paralelised to the Dacian-Romanian boundary. The Cochiti event corresponds to seams VIIth and VIIIth, and can be designated as the boundary between the Parscovian and Siensian.
