  Rezumat:  The Specific Features of the Touristic Offer from Craiova Municipality and its Periurbane Zone. The author makes a detailed study upon the touristic offer of one of the most representative urbane centre from Romania. Among the natural resources that are less representative concerning the touristic attractivity there are mainly highlighted the involvement of the bioclimatic components, the touristic importance of the Jiului River, and especially the bioclimatic and landscape role of the green spaces arranged for a town of plain. The long evolution, as a settlement, and the functional diversification led to the building up, in time, of an important cultural-historical ensemble, in whose frame there are to be noticed the category of cultural and religious objectives (churches-cathedrals, the Băniei House, museums and institutions of education etc.), the grandiose public buildings, with a French architectural and autochthonous influence, reflecting the good taste and the opulence of a certain period. The touristic infrastructure of accommodation, with a tendency to extend, diversify and modernize, reflects the touristic potential, but also the increasing interest for the presented realities.
