Rezumat:  Considerations on the Wind Regime in the High Region of the Vlădeasa Massif. The analyzed region is characterized by a considerable eolian energetic potential. Wind`s annual frequency by directions presents the highest percentages for the Western, South-Western and North-Western peaks. This denotes the high stability of the atmospheric circulation in those directions, fact associated with the zonal circulation specific to medium latitudes. The average annual speed overpasses 7.7 m/s and the warm season is characterized by values lower than the average, while values higher than the average are specific to the cold season. The wind speed`s annual repartition by value thresholds shows the highest frequencies for low and moderate winds (speeds ≤ 10 m/s). The frequencies decrease as the wind speed increases and have greater values on the ridges than on the versants. However, it is worth noticing the long average annual duration of the high-speed winds. The wind speed`s daily repartition by threshold values illustrates the fact that, on the mountainous summits, the moderate wind has relatively uniformly distributed frequencies during the evening-night-morning interval, while the high wind (speeds > 10 m/s) is more frequent during the night. Although the ice build-ups represent a restrictive factor, the high region of the Vladeasa massif holds an important eolian energetic potential which should be taken advantage of in the future.
