  Rezumat:  The Role of Rural Tourism in the Territorial Development of the Micro Region Huedin. The aim of this paper is to reveal the local and regional responses to major political, economical and social processes, that has been established in the romanian society after 1989, in term of territorial-functional restructuring. The focus is on rural tourism, as alternative income source for many households of the rural space. Therefore following elements were calculated and analysed: touristic potential, touristic infrastructure, touristic exploitation of space. At the end few development strategies are proposed to sustain the development of tourism.
