	Rezumat: The IUIES Journal is a four monthly journal published by the International University Institute of European Studies. The journal’s first issue this year proposes an interesting subject, the examining of the First World War (FWW) with the occasion of the centenary beginning from 2014 and in the next years since. In a way, the subject outlined in this context aims at re-evoking the tragic event and what it meant for the modern world and at exploring the different aspects of human life it affected profoundly.
