The last major Ivorian crisis dates back very recently to 2011 after a hotly contested presidential election during which victory is claimed by the two main opponents. In fact, this crisis is the result of a long decade of political tensions inherent in a definition of national identity that was poorly appreciated and personalized in a discriminatory manner in the 1994s. Today, the socio-political environment still carries the stigmatization of social fractures which are struggling to be eradicated that we are already on the way to another and new crisis on the threshold of the presidential elections of 2020. At least, the alarms are ringing everywhere the political opposition and causing a general psychosis within populations. The pre-electoral crisis announced by the favorite candidate, the former figurehead of the 2002 rebellion, Guillaume Kigbafori Soro, who finally led the current president to power, tells us about political practices that go against democracy, the rule of law and good governance. We cannot currently predict the outcome or outcome of this pre-election crisis, which would in fact be triggered by the outbreak of an internal conflict in the ruling party linked to the succession of the current president, except to raise the issue. the imminence that risks a new major post-electoral crisis as new as Côte d''Ivoire has known it, with both different and new actors and increasingly bruised populations.

Keywords: Pre-electoral crisis, Côte d''Ivoire, Democracy, Rule of law.
