  Rezumat:  Recent data about the negative influence of the repeated cranial trauma on the junior boxers brain. Adults who understand the risks of boxing and still take part are exercising the right to take their lives into their own hands. In a civilized society, however, children cannot be allowed such liberty. And while science cannot de used, or misused, to tell consenting adults how to lead their lives, there must certainly be a case for using science to protect the young. Children should not be assumed capable of making rational decisions about the dangers of boxing; to encourage their participation’s is both irresponsible and unethical. Boxing can cause permanent damage to young brains. Such damage appears to be present well before any behavioral changes or other symptoms can be detected.
