  Rezumat:  This volume contains 27 papers (17 in English and 10 in German) elaborated by 47 authors from 10 countries (Belorussia, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Ukraine) and presented at the International Symposium on Peat Therapy, held in Bad Kissingen on 21-24 October 1999. In the introductory lecture, “Peat therapy on its way into the next millennium”, G. Lüttig reviews the past and the present and outlines the future (perspectives) of peat therapy.
