The paper proposes an approach of the Gospel of John from the point of view of moral theology. The originality of the paper resides in this new perspective, while the author enlarges his approach to some elements taken from the epistles of John. The First Epistle of John is presented as a complement to the Gospel, and even as having a corrective role with regard to certain unilateral statements of the evangelist.
